AFRABU is a non-profit association initiated in 2002 by nine repatriated and displaced women. AFRABU was legally registered by the Ministry of the Interior and Security, the current Ministry of Interior on 07/06/2004 under No. 0 530/645. The nine founding women members, all Burundians, came from Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Rwanda, Tanzania and internally displaced persons. Currently AFRABU has 238 members and more than 200 groups that she lives in the following provinces: Bujumbura Rural, Bujumbura Mairie, Gitega, Ruyigi, Muyinga, Rutana, Cibitoke and Bubanza.
Our vision
A better and peaceful Burundi characterized by the respect of the national and international rights, the implication of all in the life of the country, an environment favorable to the socio-economic development deprived of the demographic problems, the diseases and scarcity of the means of production with a view to improving the living conditions of communities and the fight against poverty.
